Bond paper is a type of paper that is ideal for letterheads, memos, presentations, manuals, forms, legal documents, and newsletters, due to its strength, permanence, and durability. The term "bond" was originally applied to papers used for government bonds and other legal documents.
Bond paper is available in 500-sheet reams in different ISO standard (e.g. A4) and North American paper sizes (e.g. letter and legal sizes). Based on the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) paper industry standard, which measures weight in grams per square meter (gsm), bond paper is in the medium textweight range (70-100gsm).
